Feature is available in all modern mobile phones and this allows a user to send and receives short text messages.

With BOL a subscriber is able to send nationally and internationally short message services.

  • E-Transfer

This service enables users within the network to transfer credit amongst each other electronically.
How to transfer credit:
In the form of a sms, enter STOS number number amount amount to 7777.
E.g. * STOS 0797****** 0797****** 5000 5000 then send the message to 7777.

After this, you should receive a message informing you that 5000 shillings has been successfully transferred to 0797*****. The message will also include a ticket number for reference sake.

Please note: Space between each data entry.

  • Call Divert

This is a feature which permits users to redirect calls to another number or message services.
How to Divert Calls:
Press *72 and insert the number of the phone you would like your calls to be diverted to
(Please do not leave any spaces between *72 and the number).

Press Call or OK and wait for confirmation.
Example: *72XXXXXXXX
Note: Should you require to activate the call divert feature only when your phone is busy use, *90 instead of *72.

To disable the above mentioned services use the following instructions:
To disable *72 service press *720 than press call or OK
To disable * 90 service press *900 than press Call or OK
To disable * 92 service press *921 than press Call or OK
CW (*70) ………Call Waiting – enables the call waiting facility on your handset.
To activate this feature dial *70 from your handset.
To deactivate dial *700 from your handset
CFU(*72)……… Call forward unconditional.  Permanently diverts calls from a BOL number to any other number.
To activate this feature dial *72079XXXXXX or *72075xxxxxx from your handset.
To deactivate dial *72079XXXXXX or *72078XXXXXX from your handset.
CFB (*90) ……. Call forward if Busy – diverts calls from a BOL number to any other number when you are busy on other call.
To activate this features dial *90079XXXXXX or *90078XXXXXX from your handset.
To deactivate dial *901 from your handset.
CFNA (*92) ……. Call forward if No answer – diverts calls from a BOL number to any number if call is not answered.
To deactivate dial *921 from your handset.
